Purpose
MATERIUM is an educational project by NanisTV that tells documented financial fraud cases for information and prevention purposes. This site offers alerts, a free guide, a free class and forms to share stories and suggestions.
Not advice
The content is not legal, financial, tax or investment advice and does not replace consulting a licensed professional. For your specific situation, talk to a professional and the relevant authorities. MATERIUM does not recover funds or charge to help scam victims.
Cases and people
Episodes are based on published, documented facts (court rulings, legal filings, regulator statements and investigative journalism), attributed to their source. The figures shown are clay or mannequin representations, not images of real people.
Intellectual property
The texts, videos, images, logos and design of this site belong to the owner or are used under license. Commercial reproduction, distribution or transformation without permission is prohibited. The Courier Prime and Libre Baskerville typefaces are used under the SIL Open Font License, and the vanilla-cookieconsent consent manager under the MIT license.
Liability
The owner tries to keep information accurate and up to date but does not guarantee it is error-free and is not liable for decisions made based on it, nor for the content of linked third-party sites.
Governing law
This notice is governed by Spanish law. Disputes will be handled by the courts that apply under consumer protection rules.
Privacy policy
We process your data under Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) and Spanish Organic Law 3/2018 (LOPDGDD).

What data we process and why

Please don't include passwords, account numbers, health data or details about other people in your story. If you do, we'll delete them.
Legal basis
Your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR), given by ticking the box on each form, which you can withdraw at any time without affecting prior processing. If a story contained special categories of data, the basis would be your explicit consent (Article 9(2)(a)).
How long we keep it
Subscription: while you stay subscribed; after you unsubscribe, we restrict the data only as long as needed for possible legal claims and then delete it. Unused confirmation links expire after 72 hours. Stories and suggestions: up to 24 months, or less if you ask us to delete them.
Who else processes it
- Resend (Plus Five Five, Inc., USA): sending emails and managing the subscriber list. Emails are sent from its EU region (Ireland); any transfer to the US relies on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and standard contractual clauses.
- Bunny.net (BunnyWay d.o.o., Slovenia, EU): video playback, only if you accept video cookies.
- Cloudflare (Cloudflare, Inc.): content delivery and site protection, under standard contractual clauses and the Data Privacy Framework.
- Our server provider, which hosts the site and stores stories and suggestions on a private server.
All of them act as processors under contract. We don't sell or share your data and don't use it for advertising. We never publish the details of anyone who shares their story.
Your rights
You can request access, rectification, erasure, objection, restriction and portability by writing to [PENDIENTE: correo de privacidad], stating which right you're exercising. Every alert email includes an unsubscribe link. If you think we haven't handled your request properly, you can complain to the Spanish Data Protection Agency (aepd.es) or the authority in your country.
Minors
This site is not intended for children under 14. If you're a minor, please don't send us any data.
Security
We use encrypted connections, signed confirmation links and restricted access to stored data.
